Visitor Center

Come see us in the Williston Visitor's Center and Gift Shop at 212 34th St W.  Easy to access right off of Highway 2 close to hotels and shopping. Our building was moved to this location from Fort Buford State Historic Site in 2008.

Inside, you will find our North Dakota Products Store featuring ND made or ND themed items like jerky, soup mixes, t-shirts, mugs, key chains, art plus a wide variety of products made with chokecherries (our state fruit). You will also find a themed selfie station we change out monthly, visitor guides, maps and clean bathrooms.

Bring your picnic lunch to enjoy on our beautiful grounds during warm weather and check out the life size wood carving of Shoshone interpreter Sakakawea (Sacagawea), who traveled with the Lewis & Clark Expedition in 1805-1806. You can also see a large wood carving featuring popular native fish species. Both outdoor pieces of art are popular photo stops.

We are happy to answer your questions and give you a warm welcome!
